Hermann Goetz Seven Choral Songs op. 21

Henryk Górecki Five Kurpian Songs

Dale Trumbore How to Go On (New York premiere)

How can we go on, knowing the end of the story? Such is the central question posed in American composer Dale Trumbore’s wrenching requiem How to Go On, which explores the resilience of the human spirit in the face of loss, from grief and despair, fear and doubt, to the beginnings of understanding, acceptance, peace, and ultimately comfort.

The program will also feature Seven Choral Songs by 19th-century German composer Hermann Goetz, and 20th-century Polish composer Henryk Górecki’s Five Kurpian Songs: inventive arrangements of traditional folk melodies sung in Polish.
